On December 11, 2018, the Science Development Foundation revered the memory the National Leader Heydar Aliyev.
Elchin Babayev, Executive Director of the Science Development Foundation, talked about life path of Heydar Aliyev, the founder of the independent state of Azerbaijan, an exceptional leader, author of political, economic and spiritual foundations of Azerbaijan's state independence. Devotion of Heydar Aliyev in preserving and strengthening the independence of our country, and his countless efforts in the establishment of a democratic state of law and its comprehensive development is always commemorated by our people, and the genius leader's dearest memory is remembered with extreme love and respect. His care for the younger generation is now an example for other leaders. Heydar Aliyev, a great politician, has become a living legend when still alive, political activity of the great leader of the world Azerbaijanis has been widely covered in the country and in the world press; hence the phenomenon of Heydar Aliyev has always attracted attention.
Hasan Hasanov, the political and public figure of Azerbaijan, diplomat, scientist, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Poland, spoke of Heydar Aliyev's valuable life experience and his great care and attention to the development of science and education. Sharing his memories, he drew attention to the importance of his personality for Azerbaijan and mentioned the fact that the history has been re-written with him for Azerbaijan. He particularly emphasized that the thirty-five-year period of Azerbaijan, starting from the late of the 1960s and to the XXI century, is connected with the name of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev. This stage has made its mark in our modern history, with the eternal and irreversible independence of Azerbaijan, the strengthening of statehood, the creation of a solid base for economic development, national-moral rise, and the recognition of each individual as valuable citizens.
In other speeches it was noted that the solid foundation for the comprehensive progress and future development of Azerbaijan was possible as a result of the implementation of the socio-economic strategy of Heydar Aliyev which he implemented with his rich experience, great talent, bright intellectual activity, high moral qualities, leadership potential, and inexhaustible energy. Today, there is not a single area of socio-economic, socio-cultural life in Azerbaijan, where the development is not related to the name of the National Leader. The dear memory of the National Leader, of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev will live in the hearts of the Azerbaijani people forever.
